So your children are mad because you keep them "On A Short Leash"!!! They will be alright. The way I see it is that you are helping them to find their way through the narrow gate. I have spoken to people that say I am too strict with my kids. If I keep trying to keep them from the world then they will just go wild when they get out on their own. Well this is what I say about that. The Bible tells me to train them up in the way they should go, (Prov. 22:6) so I'm gonna teach them what thus says the Lord. And I'll lead them down the narrow road (Matt. 7:13-14) because so many parents try to be their kids friends and let them taste sin, taste the world, they will get enough of that without my help. I think that so many kids go wild once they leave home is because they have had a taste of the world, and they just want more now. I think the ones who have been led down the narrow road "On A Short Leash" will always feel that tug once they start heading down the wide road of destruction. They will be one of the few to find their way to eternal life through the narrow gate. So don't feel like you are strict, God loves you!!!
