Old Child, Grow Up!!!

At what age does a man (person) realize that it's time to grow up and stop acting stupid.  I know you all think this is just focusing on men, but it's not.  I am just tired of dealing with childish acting people.  It's okay to have fun, but there's a time for that.
1 Corinthians 13:11
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.  Children are suppose to talk childish, think childish, understand childish, children are suppose to act childish.  But at some point, if you didn't die as a child, you should grow up and act like a man or (woman) because this isn't just for men.  Just some tips to help somebody out:  1.  If you have facial hair(man or woman), grow up.  2.  If you can drive at night after 9 p.m.legally, grow up.  3.  If you can file income tax and no one else can claim you, grow up.  4.  If you are a parent, grow up.  And #5. If you  are over the age 30 GROW UP PLEASE!!!!  You are welcome!!! To God Be the Glory

The Point of No Return

Are you there?  Have you come too far to give up now?  Well don't!!!  No matter how things look to your natural eye, make sure you remember to see things with your spiritual eyes.  The spiritual eyes will help us see that we are at The Point of No Return.  Romans 15:4 “For whatsoever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.”   Study the scriptures from God and Have hope and learn from your mistakes, grow from your mistakes, and be patient.  We make a lot of foolish mistakes because we are too anxious.  We can not make God move quicker than He will because He knows what we need and He knows when we need it.  As I think about how far God has brought me I know for a fact that I am at "The Point of No Return" and if any of you know me let the church say 'Amen'.  I've come too far from where I started from, the road isn't easy sometimes but God is my SUV on rough roads, He get's me through no matter what.

Giving Him the Best That I've Got

Ever wondered what the 3 Wise Men thought Baby Jesus was gonna do with gold, frankincense, and myrrh? Matt. 2:10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. 11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with His mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. The Word tells us that they went with anticipation to worship (start at verse 1). Says when they saw the star, they were overjoyed. Then they went in the house and saw the Child with His mama, and bowed down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. When we go in the House of the Lord we should go with anticipation to worship and because Matt.18:20 lets us know that He (the Star) is there with us we should be overjoyed. We should worship Him and "Give Him the Best that we've got". That's what the 3 wise men did, they couldn't contain themselves. They knew that He was worthy of the very best. We sometimes go to church and give God mess, a half hearted praise. Jesus has been worthy of the best from the very beginning, the One and Only Lord and Savior deserves nothing less than the best. And verse 12 reads And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route. Once we have given God our best, in praise and worship, in time, in tithes and offering, focused on Him and not what the devil (Herod) has put in our ears, we won't leave out the same. And all that came from just "Giving Him the Best That I've Got" Be blessed!!!

Happy Mother's Day

Wow, it's Mother's Day again and I'm blessed to be Andrea, Devonte', Jurnee, and Iyana's mom. I can't forget Roderick and Sha'Kera, those are my babies too. I love that God allowed me to be able to pour into their lives, as they have poured into mine. I haven't always been able to give them material things, but I gave them all the love a mother could give a child, a mother that loves the Lord.

Every last one of them get on my nerves sometimes. Andrea can be a little snob sometimes, Devonte' thinks he knows it all sometimes, Jurnee is just goofy sometimes, Iyana talks too much sometimes, Roderick is a little lazy sometimes and Sha'Kera would rather fight it out and get it over sometimes, but I can truly say "They get it from their mama". We need to remember who we were before we became the mature, adults that we are now. Our children that we are training up in the way that they should go will get it eventually. Yeah I know it seems like never, but I think about all the prayers my mama sent up for me. I was all my kids rolled up in one little hellion, but thank God my mama and my God didn't give up on me.

So Happy Mother's Day to my mama, Happy Mother's Day to each of you, and thank you to my kids for reminding me to "keep praying and don't give up".

I love ya'll.

Why People Play???

What makes a person pretend they don't know their child is getting on peoples nerves? Have you ever been in church and the people seated behind you has a child that continues to hit on the seat you are sitting on, or they are playing with the collar on your shirt, or just keep talking. Why they want to pretend they so deep into the word that they don't see that their child is being a distraction to you getting the word. Or have you ever been at a restaurant and someone is letting their child just walk up to different tables? Why they think you want to look in their snotty child face? What about at work and people just watch as their child walks behind the desk, or watch as they stand on the chairs and climb on the tables? Now as soon as they fall down they gone be trying to sue. I'm serious; Why People Play? Just in case you are one of these people that are mentioned above, get it together. You don't like your child, so why you think other people want to entertain their foolishness? Train your child in they way they should act at home, so when they go out in public they will not act like they have foolish parents.

Busy, Busy, Me!!!

I have been so busy that I haven't had time to write like I use to, and I've been a little lazy too. Well I've been working on balancing everything out, I've even been going to the gym so I can get rid of this bootydoo and be sho nuff sexy for my 40th birthday.

God wants us to balance out our lives, balance keeps things in perspective. Balance is order. Proverbs 28:2 reads When a country is rebellious, it has many rulers, but a man of understanding and knowledge maintains order. God wants us to have order in our home, ministry, jobs and leisure. We need to seek God 1st for help (read the Bible) so that we aren't unstable, "For God is not a God of disorder, but of peach." 1 Cor. 14:32

Where disorder reigns, we find instability in our personal, spiritual, and professional lives.

So find order, and find balance so you will find peace.

Big Sistah to Lil Sistah.....

To God be all the glory. We had a Big Sistah to Lil Sistah program at FFGBC on Friday, April 1st and it was wonderful. We talked to the young ladies about Salvation, Hygiene, Respect, Appearance, Saying No Drugs, Sex, and Alcohol, and Boys. It was very interesting, the girls talked and they say they had a good time. We didn't get this growing up, the talk about such things was taboo. It was really nice I am excited about the next one, already got ideas. I hope that it recorded good enough to get CDs out, I know it will bless others.
