Can you handle the truth?

Do you know why it is so hard for Christians to talk to one another, because a lot of us are "Too Saved to Handle the Truth."  Even though we know that is the only way to be free, according to John 8:32.  Oh I hear you in the spirit saying "Jesus Christ set me free" John 14:6 and Jesus is the Truth, so let's get through this. You see how we get when we hear someone talking about truth, truth exposes, sheds light.  If I need to go to a sistah and tell her what I'm going through, if it's too deep she can't handle it.  "Sistah, I am horny and need a man" and the sistah can't wait to judge me, so she runs and tells others that I'm this and I'm that....instead of praying in agreement with me that God will subdue my iniquities..Micah 7:19.  Come on saints of God, let's do better.  Are you "Too Saved to Handle My Truth?"  If so your ministry is null and void because you can't even restore me as God has said for you to do so.  Gal. 6:1-2  Let's get it together sAINTS.

Moving by Faith

Good morning;

As I try to be submissive to the Holy Spirit there is one thing for sure.  When God says do something, He means do it.  I mean I have been praying and asking God for different things to get going in my life and it seems as if He is saying "Okay, let's see if she is going to be obedient and move when I say move."  That is how you receive your blessings.  Every time someone in the Bible received a blessing or a healing (which is a blessing) Jesus had them do something.  John 5:8>Rise, take up your bed and walk...Mark 10:52>Go, your faith has healed you....Luke 8:48>He told the woman with the issue of blood to "Go in peace."  We have got to move when God says move if we want to be blessed.  What makes us move?  Our faith will make us move. How BIG or how small our faith is, is the way we will respond to God telling us to move.  We stay in the same place stagnant when we don't obey God because our faith is small.  Stagnant is still, motionless,dead, stank.  When our faith is small and we refuse to move when God says move, our attitude gets stank about certain things.  We start blaming God for lack of receiving when it's our own fault because we didn't have BIG enough faith to move and trust God when He said "Go."  I'm going on is Jesus name.  Whatever happens I trust God to work it out to my good because I love Him. (Rom. 8:28)  Be blessed.

Moving to get my blessing,

God bless,

Morning prayer

Greetings;

Every morning my children and I wake up and pray together.  I think we are awake our mouths are moving; but are we really AWAKE?  Well because I am the head of my house I had to get up and get moving around so that I could show them that we can't come in talking to God mumbling and giving God our stinky breath prayers.  You know when you wake up and you haven't brushed your teeth yet, so you talking through your teeth, it almost sounds like another language.  I know it is hard to get out of those warm beds, but I can not allow them to believe that God deserves anything but our best.  2 Timothy 2:15 reads " Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."  God is worthy of the best especially when we are spending time with Him.  It's not for Him it's for us.  We wouldn't go to a job interview mumbling.  Right?  So I have to take some other steps so that we WAKE UP! And bless the Lord with our best.  I am so proud of them because I hear spiritual growth in their prayers, but I have to help them get to the next level.  Keep us in your prayers.  Love you with a whole heart.

Where Have I Been

Well I am still at it.  Thank God to one reader that told me the truth.  I keep hiding behind STUFF.  Why?  Am I afraid to be blessed?  I really don't know, but I'm starting over again.  I believe when I first started this God told me 365.  I have only posted 107 (or something like that).  Really Brenda?  That's just lazy and poor effort.  I am suppose to "work unto the Lord", Write unto the Lord and don't worry about anyone reading or responding to one post.  Just do what God has told you to do with your little blog so God will bless you with bigger opportunities.  Luke 16: 10-12.“One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in that which is another's, who will give you that which is your own?" (Holy Bible)  Lord forgive me and thanks for not giving up on me.  And thank you my friend for helping me come out from hiding.

Daddy's Gone

I haven't written in forever.  I have so much going on right now.  I am in school, working two jobs, a new grandmother, and my daddy is gone.  Is anyone playing the violins yet?  I sound like a broken record right?  Sound like I'm passing out invitations to a pity party.  Well I have got to tighten up.  My daddy told me that I need to pursue my dreams and goals to the end.  That means little girl, write your poems, write your songs, and write your books and find someone that wants to buy them.  I keep quitting because it's so frustrating.  I told daddy that I was going to do it, and I am.  I have got to focus and make it happen.  Before daddy died he wrote a song too, and I told him I would get it copy written and he said "I sure do appreciate that."  I need to figure out how to make it work.  How to put the effort and time needed into this gift that God has blessed me with.  Being a true woman of God is hard work because if you aren't careful you'll find that you have put all your carnal mess before God.  Daddy told me to make sure I put God first, and I know that's what I need to do.  It's just so hard making sure I do it with everything going on. (violins)  Well the Bible does say, and you all know it because anybody with a little bit of God knows... Matthew 6:33 reads Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.  Get it together Brenda, Get it together Brenda, Get it together Brenda.  Praise God, I am going to get it together, no matter how long it takes.  I'm going to trust God, and while trusting Him taking action toward the place He has for me.  Daddy's gone, but not forgotten.  I remember what he's taught me, and until I do what my father says, I won't do what my Father says.

God bless and I love ya,

I Don't Mind Waiting...On the Lord

I love this song by Juanita Bynum, and I sing it all the time.  To say I Don't Mind Waiting On the Lord is saying Lord I trust You.  I trust You so much that I'm going to be obedient and walk in Your true Word.  Oh how easy it is to sing the song, but to really mean it is another thing.  I don't mind waiting means I will wait for God to send me a husband and keep my body until due season.  I don't mind waiting means I trust that God is Jehovah Jira and that He is going to provide my every need.  I don't mind waiting means that even though things get a little rough on my job, at my church, in my home that I am going to stand, and after I've done all I can standing I'm gone still STAND.  I don't mind waiting means I'll wait Lord, and while I'm waiting I'll do what You have called me to do.  Isaiah 49:31 KJV:  But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.  This means that while I'm waiting my strength is renewed, I'm getting stronger, I'm gonna be able to reach new heights and be able to endure, I will run this race and not become tired, and I shall walk the good walk and not turn back.  Waiting can be scary, but move that flesh because it's a God thang.  I don't mind waiting, I don't mind waiting, I don't mind waiting, on the Lord.

Praise God

How Big Is Your God

After going through so many obstacles it seems that I would know how to maneuver without being stumped, AGAIN!  Do you ever feel this way?  If so, I challenge you to ask yourself the question I believe the Holy Spirit asked me, "How big is your God?"  The Bible reads in Luke 1:37 that nothing is impossible with God.  That means He can handle whatever comes His way.  How much God do you have in you?  As a Christian, I shouldn't keep making the same mistakes, I should learn from my mistakes and take a different road.  I should be able to go through the obstacles God's way and come out victorious.  So how do I get there and continue to move forward and not get stumped?  It's all in knowing how Big God really is.  It's one thing to say "oh I'm blessed and highly favored" but it's another to know I'm blessed and highly favored.  I know it because I spend time with God and I know His promises for my life. I know He won't put more on me than I can handle (we love to say this), but I know when I pick up more than I can handle I need to put it down.  I know the Bible says if I resist the devil he will flee (we love this too), but I also know that I must submit to God and resist the devil he will flee.  The devil ain't scared of us quoting the word, the power comes when we live the Word.  Acts 19:10-16 clearly shows that there's no power against the enemy when the Godly authority is exercised unworthy.  Some want the power and anointing for the wrong reasons.

Acts 19:10-16

New International Version
10 This went on for two years, so that all the Jews and Greeks who lived in the province of Asia heard the word of the Lord.
11 God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.
13 Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” 14 Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. 15 One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?” 16 Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.

Playing with God and they got a beat down, that's what jumped on them and overpowered them means.  Well let's learn who God is, so we will know that no matter how Big our problem is, God is WAY BIGGER.
