How Big Is Your God

After going through so many obstacles it seems that I would know how to maneuver without being stumped, AGAIN!  Do you ever feel this way?  If so, I challenge you to ask yourself the question I believe the Holy Spirit asked me, "How big is your God?"  The Bible reads in Luke 1:37 that nothing is impossible with God.  That means He can handle whatever comes His way.  How much God do you have in you?  As a Christian, I shouldn't keep making the same mistakes, I should learn from my mistakes and take a different road.  I should be able to go through the obstacles God's way and come out victorious.  So how do I get there and continue to move forward and not get stumped?  It's all in knowing how Big God really is.  It's one thing to say "oh I'm blessed and highly favored" but it's another to know I'm blessed and highly favored.  I know it because I spend time with God and I know His promises for my life. I know He won't put more on me than I can handle (we love to say this), but I know when I pick up more than I can handle I need to put it down.  I know the Bible says if I resist the devil he will flee (we love this too), but I also know that I must submit to God and resist the devil he will flee.  The devil ain't scared of us quoting the word, the power comes when we live the Word.  Acts 19:10-16 clearly shows that there's no power against the enemy when the Godly authority is exercised unworthy.  Some want the power and anointing for the wrong reasons.

Acts 19:10-16

New International Version
10 This went on for two years, so that all the Jews and Greeks who lived in the province of Asia heard the word of the Lord.
11 God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.
13 Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” 14 Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. 15 One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?” 16 Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.

Playing with God and they got a beat down, that's what jumped on them and overpowered them means.  Well let's learn who God is, so we will know that no matter how Big our problem is, God is WAY BIGGER.

An examination sometimes is painful....

But helpful.  2 Corinthians 13:5 says Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.  Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test?

It's a sad situation to fail an examination right?  If you are taking an examination, it's something that you need to exceed in.  Who wants to take a test and fail?  Who wants to go to the doctor and be examined only to find out bad results, to find out your health is failing.  Why go through the motions of being a Christian and end up in hell because your heart isn't pure.

By examining yourself, you find out what's wrong and if it's an early diagnosis during the examination you can correct some issues before they get out of hand.

By taking a pre-exam you learn that you need to study more before you take the final examination.  By going to the doctor and finding out what's wrong, you get treatment that could prevent any serious condition.  By examining your spiritual self, you learn that you are lukewarm and need to get delivered from some stuff.

So examine yourself to see if you pass the test, of having Jesus in you.

Amen!!!

Let the church say Amen!!!  That is all left for us to say to all of God's promises, Amen.  If we are living Holy according to the Word of God, it's Amen!!!  If we are living unholy according to the Word of God, it's Amen!!! God can not tell a lie and He will not be mocked.  So He will do just what He says He will do and His Word will not be found contrary to it's self.  A lot of times we wonder why we aren't blessed when we are doing all we can to live Holy, not remembering that we have cursed ourselves with our tongue by saying something contrary to the blessing.  Or we've cursed ourselves by not giving our tithes and offering faithfully.  Or we have some forgiveness that we are carrying around that we should have released to someone who wronged us.  Blessings and curses depend on us.  So let the church say Amen!!!  Believe God's Word, obey God's Word, and receive the blessings from God's Word.  No we won't get it right all the time, but His grace is sufficient and He is a forgiving God.  Amen!!!

Now He's a Young Man!!

This is my Handsome, and at some point in life you have to let those only begotten sons grow.  You teach them what thus says the Lord, and help them for a little while but then the Lord tells you "Now He's a Young Man" that doesn't mean stop praying and believing God for them but it's time that you stop getting uptight because he isn't doing things the way you want him to.  I have to believe that he understands that when he was a child it was okay to talk and think like a child and even understand as a child, but now he's a man he must put away childish ways. (1Cor. 13:11) You have done all that you can do as a single mother to raise him up, and he's going to make mistakes, but love him anyways.  You have trained him up in the way that he should go and it's in him.  So relax, and thank God that "Now He's a Young Man" because some didn't make it as far as he did.  Thank God for the things that he is not doing which makes him blessed, and thank God that you can pray about the things he is doing which brings the curse.  Pray that he remembers what he has been taught concerning all things.  Love you Handsome.

A Docile Spirit....

Can help you in life.  A teachable spirit is a humble spirit. 1 Pet 5:5>Young folks listen to old folks.  Be humble with each other, for God opposes the proud, the ones who won't listen to teaching but gives grace to the humble.  Prov. 12:1 Whoever loves to be taught is smart, he who hates being taught is stupid. This is the BYT version but look it up for yourself.

If you refuse to be taught, you are stupid, that's the Word people.  We often get advice (teaching) from someone who has been through what we are going through or something we may be about to go through.  But we don't listen if we don't have A Docile Spirit.  We think we know everything, can't nobody tell us nothing and then we do what we are advised not to do and look stupid.  Well guess what, because we hated instruction, we are stupid.

Let's listen to Godly instruction and learn from it so that we may be blessed from having a Docile Spirit and not a prideful one.

Meek Not Weak, Don't get it twisted...

To be meek is to be humble, and sometimes people take your meekness for a weakness.  What happens when that happens?  Either we are mature enough to know that we must just pray for them and remain gentle, or we aren't mature enough and go off the deep end.  If we snap, crackle, and pop we probably aren't meek just yet so repent and keep trying.  It seems like the harder you try to be meek, the more buttons people push, and you try to walk in love, and let your light so shine and they just keep on until you say look I'm Meek Not Weak, Don't get it twisted and just as you begin to go off the spirit of meekness overwhelms you and the Holy Spirit says don't forget that Romans 12:19 says >Don't take revenge, my dear friends, but  leave room for God's wrath for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.  No matter what we must continue in meekness.  The bible says that the meek inherit the earth...they shall have a state of mind here on earth and have peace and happiness and not be overtaken by the worries here on earth.  So since God has got our back, it's okay for people to get it twisted, just humbly pray for them because they must not know that you are God's anointed.  Be blessed my friend.

Don't Give Up on Your Dreams, Patiently Wait....

For God.  Sometimes it seems like everybody is being blessed but me.  I try to make sure I stay humble and not begin to act like Job and start accusing God of forsaking me.  I try to make sure I don't get jealous that someone that could care less about God seems to be blessed beyond measure.  I do make sure I repent for both those things when I find myself even thinking wrong, and I do hurry up and pull out my Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth to help me get through it and it never let's me down.  Psalm 37: 1-7 is a good passage of scripture to read if you fall short in this area.  Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.  For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.  Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.  Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.  And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.  Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.  God wants us to know that we shouldn't get upset because wicked people seem blessed, it's not from God so it will be cut short.  God's blessings are forever.  We should trust in Him alone, walk in His ways, and wait patiently for Him and He will give us our desires, because our desire will be His.  He's going to make it happen.  So Don't Give Up on Your Dreams, Patiently Wait on God.
