Godly Behavior Wins Him Over.....

Does your behavior make him want to serve your God?  Ladies this is some tough, hard to swallow, cut it up in small pieces of meat to handle, but if you are serious about your husband being won over to Christ, pull out your knife and cut it up, pull out the food processor and grind it up, what ever it takes to get it down, get it down.
Now 1 Peter 3:1>Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives.
Speechless right!!!  I know, there's nothing that shuts you up like the true word of God.  Ladies you must learn to humble yourself, there's nothing that runs a man to the corner of the roof top quicker than a nagging woman,(Prov. 21:9) especially one that suppose to be living holy.  How we gone go off and trip and think the man wants to serve the God we serving.  Our behavior is very important.  The word says we can shut up, stop nagging, and just live holy and make the man want to serve God just from watching us.  (Paraphrased for the simple)

I know sometimes we want to just GO OFF!!!  Believe me, but it's not worth it at all.  Having to wonder if I could have done something different, or maybe just not said some of the words I said.  Anyways I think all the married ladies need to know this as well as single ladies that are planning to get married.  Let the wonderful, beautiful, God that you are serving show in your behavior and that my friend is a NUFF SAID!!!

Just An Ain't, Not Really A Saint if.......

you can't control your tongue.  Wow!!!  Is your tongue deceiving you?  Do you think that you can allow your tongue to say whatever and still praise God?  The Word says in James 1:26 If you think you are being religious, but can't control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and everything you do is useless.  So that means all that hallelujah, and all that going to see the sick, and doing everything that a true worshiper would do means nothing it's useless, because you can't control your tongue.  That's because if it's coming out of your mouth, it's in your heart.  Luke 6:45>A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart.  For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.  If we are speaking a bunch of mess, that's what our heart is full of.  That's Bible ya'll not me.  It made me check myself too, but that's what God wants us to do, encourage one another, He wants us to do better once we know better.  It's an awful thing for us to keep fooling ourselves, being  Just An Ain't, Not Really A Saint.  Let's do better, let's think better, let's speak better, let's be better.  God loves us, and He's the best that we can have.

If you love your children.....

Beat 'Em!!!  That's Bible ya'll.  Now I am not telling anyone to abuse their children, or cause any abnormal bodily harm to your child.  You know I remember when my mama and my daddy use to beat my butt, I thought the people was trying to kill me and hated me.  But I'm not dead and I'm an alright person, got a few issues but alright.  Pastor McCormick was teaching about this thing too and he gave us some scriptures in Proverbs, so I went home and studied it some more.  That's what you're suppose to do study the word  so that you may ascertain it for yourself, and not get mad at the preacher.  Proverbs 19:18 the NIV reads>Discipline your children, for in that there is hope; do not be a willing party to their death.  And Proverbs 13:24 reads>Whosoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them.  There it is, we are partaking in their death and we hate our children if we don't discipline them.  Prov. 29:15 A rod and a reprimand impart wisdom, but a child left undisciplined disgraces it's mother.  I took Jurnee to the doctor the other day and these two little boys were running around and hitting at their mother, the lady was on her knees picking up the mess they were throwing around and begging them to sit down.  If she had beat 'em at the house and taught them how to behave at home they would not have disgraced her in public.  Prov. 22:15> Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline will drive it away.  The rod will help beat that foolishness out of them the rod will make that foolishness want to stay away.  Prov. 23:13-14> Withhold not discipline from the child, for if you strike and punish him with the rod, he will not die. You shall whip him with the rod, and deliver his life from hell.  So I guess it's stupid of us to make our children go to church, pray, sing in the choir, usher, etc... if we don't beat them when they do wrong?  That's what it looks like to me.  "Yana, get me my belt"  Just in case I missed a few.  We should not make light of this situation... Heb. 12:3-6 is a great passage of verses to read but the ladder part touched me. "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline and do not lose heart when He rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one He loves and He chastens everyone He accepts as His son."  Because God loves us, He chastens us when we are headed in the wrong direction, to keep us out of hell.  So again read your Bible so that you may get an understanding of the scriptures and fall in love with your children for real and BEAT 'EM!!!

To Be Deceived or Not To Be Deceived.....

That is the question.  I watched a show last night on t.v. and this lady and man were dating and the man was married, but going through a divorce.  Well the couple decided they weren't gonna commit adultery by being intimate, because it would be bad to commit adultery right.  But they were kissing, and going out.  I kept telling them "ya'll already committing adultery according to Matt. 5:28-- But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.  Well then I started telling them "Ya'll rather fornicate than commit adultery, sin is sin" Well after remembering that it was a t.v. show and everything that was going on was already in the script and there was nothing I could do to change it, I stopped telling them about themselves.  Anyways it made me think about what my Pastor has been preaching about, the church being deceived....  Even though this was a show on t.v. it's more so of the reality world now days.  Deception is one of the biggest enemies of the church today.  At least the sinners know they sinners and pretty much know they love what they are doing and don't want to stop.  If you witness you hear that a lot. "I don't want to play with God, I got some stuff I want to stop doing before I give my life to God"  But saved folk will think they alright but still holding on to some serious baggage, and get up and sing, and shout, and testify, and preach thinking they alright, but hell bound. Some people go to churches where they can get a real good feel good message (as my Pastor says). People don't want to hear the truth, and they go to church just because they have made habit out of it.  If you aren't growing in your church, figure out why.  I know all churches aren't the same, so make sure you spend time with God.  Ask God to show you if you are in the right place, if you are seeking God wholeheartedly, you will have a witness in your spirit on what to do.  It might be all you, so be prepared to make some changes if you really love the Lord.  Ask God to show you the truth about things.  God am I being deceived?  Sometimes deception is comfortable....we would rather just pretend we don't know better than find the answer.  Every Christian, every born again believer of Jesus Christ should seek the Holy Ghost for guidance....let the Holy Ghost filter out our every move, our every thought.  Ask Him to show us if something is right or wrong, and if it's wrong change my ideas and give me the will of God concerning this thing.  He will do it John 16:13 says But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth.  He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come.  To Be Deceived or Not To Be Deceived......let's stop being deceived.  Heaven or Hell, it's your choice.

Old Child, Grow Up!!!

At what age does a man (person) realize that it's time to grow up and stop acting stupid.  I know you all think this is just focusing on men, but it's not.  I am just tired of dealing with childish acting people.  It's okay to have fun, but there's a time for that.
1 Corinthians 13:11
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.  Children are suppose to talk childish, think childish, understand childish, children are suppose to act childish.  But at some point, if you didn't die as a child, you should grow up and act like a man or (woman) because this isn't just for men.  Just some tips to help somebody out:  1.  If you have facial hair(man or woman), grow up.  2.  If you can drive at night after 9 p.m.legally, grow up.  3.  If you can file income tax and no one else can claim you, grow up.  4.  If you are a parent, grow up.  And #5. If you  are over the age 30 GROW UP PLEASE!!!!  You are welcome!!! To God Be the Glory

The Point of No Return

Are you there?  Have you come too far to give up now?  Well don't!!!  No matter how things look to your natural eye, make sure you remember to see things with your spiritual eyes.  The spiritual eyes will help us see that we are at The Point of No Return.  Romans 15:4 “For whatsoever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.”   Study the scriptures from God and Have hope and learn from your mistakes, grow from your mistakes, and be patient.  We make a lot of foolish mistakes because we are too anxious.  We can not make God move quicker than He will because He knows what we need and He knows when we need it.  As I think about how far God has brought me I know for a fact that I am at "The Point of No Return" and if any of you know me let the church say 'Amen'.  I've come too far from where I started from, the road isn't easy sometimes but God is my SUV on rough roads, He get's me through no matter what.

Giving Him the Best That I've Got

Ever wondered what the 3 Wise Men thought Baby Jesus was gonna do with gold, frankincense, and myrrh? Matt. 2:10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. 11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with His mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. The Word tells us that they went with anticipation to worship (start at verse 1). Says when they saw the star, they were overjoyed. Then they went in the house and saw the Child with His mama, and bowed down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. When we go in the House of the Lord we should go with anticipation to worship and because Matt.18:20 lets us know that He (the Star) is there with us we should be overjoyed. We should worship Him and "Give Him the Best that we've got". That's what the 3 wise men did, they couldn't contain themselves. They knew that He was worthy of the very best. We sometimes go to church and give God mess, a half hearted praise. Jesus has been worthy of the best from the very beginning, the One and Only Lord and Savior deserves nothing less than the best. And verse 12 reads And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route. Once we have given God our best, in praise and worship, in time, in tithes and offering, focused on Him and not what the devil (Herod) has put in our ears, we won't leave out the same. And all that came from just "Giving Him the Best That I've Got" Be blessed!!!

Happy Mother's Day

Wow, it's Mother's Day again and I'm blessed to be Andrea, Devonte', Jurnee, and Iyana's mom. I can't forget Roderick and Sha'Kera, those are my babies too. I love that God allowed me to be able to pour into their lives, as they have poured into mine. I haven't always been able to give them material things, but I gave them all the love a mother could give a child, a mother that loves the Lord.

Every last one of them get on my nerves sometimes. Andrea can be a little snob sometimes, Devonte' thinks he knows it all sometimes, Jurnee is just goofy sometimes, Iyana talks too much sometimes, Roderick is a little lazy sometimes and Sha'Kera would rather fight it out and get it over sometimes, but I can truly say "They get it from their mama". We need to remember who we were before we became the mature, adults that we are now. Our children that we are training up in the way that they should go will get it eventually. Yeah I know it seems like never, but I think about all the prayers my mama sent up for me. I was all my kids rolled up in one little hellion, but thank God my mama and my God didn't give up on me.

So Happy Mother's Day to my mama, Happy Mother's Day to each of you, and thank you to my kids for reminding me to "keep praying and don't give up".

I love ya'll.
