Off to College Trained in the way he should go.....

Proverbs 22:6> Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old it will not depart from him.  AKA >Direct, lead, instruct a child in the righteous, holy, Godly way and when he leaves home he may mess up but he will not easily walk in a direction contrary to what he has learned at home.  I took my son to college this week and to my surprise I didn't cry my eyes out when I left him there.  Yeah a shed a few tears, but I was comforted by his voice saying to me "mama, you did your thing and raised us to do as you do and you have been a good example, you didn't say one thing and do another" To God be the glory, that was worth this walk with God.  You know our children are always watching us and listening to the things we say.  We sometimes think they aren't getting it, but they do.  God has charged us as parents to be just that, parents and not our kids friends.  Yeah they gone get mad about some stuff, but hey I would rather they be mad at me than God to have to punish me for not doing my part as "Mama".  Be blessed son and know that I love you, but God loves you more.

Because He Loved (s) Me to Death!!!!

Jesus loved us to death!! His love for us was so great that He gave His life for us to live.  Now that's real love.  He put our sins to death, so our sins wouldn't put us to death, but that we would have a chance to live with Him when He returns.  God sees our shortcomings and He sent His Son so that we could be forgiven for those short comings.   No greater love that the ultimate love that Christ showed for us.  We should think about that when we are sinning and not thinking about repenting from mess.  I spoke to a lady just the other day and she said to me "well He's a forgiving God for a reason, He knows we are going to do it anyways", she was speaking on fornication.  Yes He is a forgiving God, but we shouldn't live with that mentality.  What if we die in the act?  Then what?  Strive for holiness, strive for righteousness, He deserves us giving 100% to doing what is right.  Because He Loved (s) Me to Death, I can face tomorrow.  Because of His love, I don't have to allow someone else to "Love Me to Death" by being in an abusive relationship with someone that might just "Love Me to Death"...Pray on it and seek counseling God wants what is best for us.

God's Gift is Beauty for Your Ashes & Joy....

for Your Mourning: Now Live.  Isaiah 61:1-3
Ashes are defined as the remains after burning, deathlike grayness.  God wants to give us beauty (life) for whatever is causing us to be dead.  Joy for our mourning (peace, love, hope, happiness) for whatever caused us to be sorrowful.  Let go of the past that stops you from receiving your gift.  When you hold on to mess and refuse to forgive, mess is really holding on to you and you're dead in a sense.  To choose to forgive is a step toward healing, getting better.  If you aren't healing to forgiveness, you're dying to NOT forgiving.  Don't allow yourself to be controlled by something that someone has done to you.  Pray for them, Forgive & Live.

Wonderful Woman

Ladies we are wonderful!!!  Adam saw Eve wonderful once God formed her...he said bones of my bones, flesh of my flesh...Adam knew he was the head, but he didn't see his wife in a belittling form. Gen. 2:21-23

God made us fearfully and wonderfully, and we should act like we know.  Not in an arrogant way, but humble.  Being independent is wonderful, but everyone needs someone so know how to be independent in behavior and don't let it come out your mouth or be on your face in an arrogant state. Ps. 139:14

Before God made us, He knew us.  While we were yet in our mother's womb, we were chosen for a work.  God knows our every move and thought, He knows we are a mess, but He still has a work for us to do if we just allow Him to use us to be a blessing.  Jer. :5

God does not show favortism.  He made David fearfully and wonderfully so I am fearfully and wonderfully.  He knew Jeremiah before he was formed in the womb and chose him and He knew me before I was formed in the womb and chose me.

We need to know this, so we can encourage ourselves when the storm comes.  Yes it will come, but God's promises are our refuge.  Know who you are in Christ, know God's word for you and know that you are a Wonderful Woman.

God Completes Me

We try to find acceptance from people, but we only need acceptance from God.  Until we learn that God completes us, we might do just anything trying to fit in.  God said that He will carry on the good work that He has started in us until Jesus returns.  God wants what's best for us.  Why is it so hard to stop being stupid thinking others can do more than God can and will do for His children?  Phil. 1:6 being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.  Although we were all born into sin doesn't mean God can't do good things for us.  He loves us so much.  I have to be confident that when things are going sour, that God has started this good work in me and He will complete it as long as I don't faint and turn away from Him.  I trust God and because I trust Him and seek Him first, I lack nothing.  My dreams to become a writer for the Kingdom of God, God is working that out right now.  He won't turn His back on me, and I can be confident because God Completes Me.

I Had God At Hello.....

Now before you start judging and thinking I am being arrogant, the word of the Lord tells me that God's ears are attentive to the righteous cry.  So just because I know this about me, doesn't mean it's not for you.  I know that I am righteous, I know that I seek God.  God knows what I need before I open up my mouth.  Psalm 34: 1-17 is a good text to go along with this but v.15 is my favorite,  The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry.  So I'm not being arrogant because I think I am all that, but because He is all that and He honors His word.

I'm not perfect, and yes I have areas of weakness but as I continue to submit to God and resist the devil and these areas of weakness, they flee.

All I'm saying is that I don't have to beg God to hear me, I just seek Him and say "Hello God, Hello Father", and His omnipotence (power do do all things) hears me right then.  And He is ready to bless me with His goodness.

So I think I'll keep on keeping on, keep on striving for righteousness, keep on saying Hello Father.   I Have God at Hello.  I like knowing He has my back, and I have His attention.
