Can't Praise Him If We Don't Please Him

Sunday, the day a lot of people go to a church where they worship together with other believers of God.  Weather you go on Saturday or Sunday or whenever one thing stands true.  If you aren't pleasing God, you are praising in vain.  This is Bible not Brenda.... Psalm 66:17-20 (ESV)
17 I cried to him with my mouth, and high praise was on my tongue.
18If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.
19But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer.
20Blessed be God, because he has not rejected my prayer or removed his steadfast love from me!
We have to let go and forgive past hurts and pains so we can grow, and not only that so that we know that God hears us.  A lot of us are just going through the motions when it comes to praising God, because we refuse to forgive someone who has done us wrong or let go of a sin that we know we are in.  We are only allowing that to hold us in bondage, most of the time the person who has done us wrong has moved on with their lives.  The Bible lets us know that if we have iniquity (sin, wickedness, injustice) in our hearts God will not listen to us.  So not only that we need to make sure we are trying our best to live upright so that we aren't just praising in vain.  We need to do this so that our prayers and praise is not rejected by God, and that we can rest knowing that He hears and loves us.  A sure way to forgive someone  is to pray for them sincerely, asking God to forgive them for hurting you and if they aren't saved ask God to send someone into their lives to usher them into His presence so that they do not miss their chance to have what you have, a chance to make it to The Kingdom.  For the sin in your life, submit to God, resist the Devil and he will flee.  And once we are pleasing God, we can begin praising God.  I love you, God bless you.
